Verdant Beneficiated Resources is an American critical material extraction, recycling, and industrial byproduct utilization company that is developing and commercializing 'resource entropy' mitigating process technologies. Verdant was founded in 2022 by critical material researchers and energy and mining industry veterans with a unified mission to reshape global technology supply chains by supplementing virgin raw materials with secondary-source materials derived from post-consumer wastes, industrial by-products, and other neglected waste streams.

Alongside the American Solar Recycling Company, Verdant is commercializing a pioneering, U.S. designed, manufactured, and operated solar photovoltaic module recycling process technology capable of recovering 98% of end-of-life (EOL) module-contained value and diverting all hazard-bearing waste from landfills, at costs lower than landfilling. American Solar Recycling Company's EOL solar module recycling process will reform the U.S. solar energy industry, ensuring that solar technology once made abroad can be proudly re-made in America.

A Growing Need

Solar PV capacity is on the rise in the U.S., with installed capacity having surpassed 73 gigawatts (GW) by year-end 2022. In 2023 and beyond, new solar installations are estimated to represent greater than 50% of added electric generating capacity, annually. Both currently installed and future solar installations comprise nearly 80% crystalline silicon technology manufactured in the People's Republic of China (PRC). Over the coming decade, EOL solar PV module waste will represent a considerable domestic waste management challenge and growing value-recovery opportunity.
